Gut Health & Digestive Disorders

Digestive complaints are the area I work with most frequently. IBS, bloating, reflux, constipation, diarrhoea, food intolerances, and SIBO all have naturopathic approaches that can make a significant difference — and often a different kind of difference than medication alone.

I look at the full picture: gut microbiome, motility, stress and the gut-brain axis, dietary triggers, and any underlying drivers like low stomach acid or dysbiosis. Where appropriate, I use functional gut testing to get specific information rather than guessing.

Chronic Fatigue & Low Energy

Persistent tiredness that isn't explained by lack of sleep is one of the most common and most frustrating things to deal with. It's also one of the areas where naturopathic investigation — looking carefully at thyroid function, adrenal patterns, nutrient status, mitochondrial health, and sleep quality — often finds something that standard bloods have missed.

I've worked with people at various points on the fatigue spectrum, from the general "running on empty" to CFS/ME support as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Hormonal Health

Hormones touch almost every aspect of how we feel — energy, mood, sleep, weight, skin, cycle regularity, libido, and more. I work with the full spectrum of hormonal concerns, from irregular or painful periods to perimenopause and menopause, PCOS, thyroid conditions, and the hormonal consequences of chronic stress.

My approach typically involves comprehensive hormone mapping, thyroid panel review, and nutritional and botanical support. I work particularly carefully with anyone on HRT or oral contraceptives to ensure protocols are complementary, not conflicting.

Sleep Disorders

Poor sleep is both a symptom and a driver — it makes almost every other health issue worse, and it's usually a sign that something else needs addressing. I approach sleep problems by looking at what's causing them (rather than simply sedating the nervous system) — considering cortisol rhythm, blood sugar regulation overnight, magnesium status, nervous system tone, light exposure, and sleep hygiene.

For people with long-term insomnia, I often combine naturopathic support with CBT-I principles, which has the strongest evidence base for lasting improvement.

Anxiety & Nervous System Regulation

Anxiety exists on a spectrum from mild and manageable to seriously debilitating. Naturopathic support isn't a replacement for psychological therapy or psychiatric care where those are needed — but it can make a meaningful difference as part of a broader approach, particularly through addressing nutritional deficiencies (magnesium, B vitamins, omega-3), supporting the HPA axis, and reducing the physical burden of chronic stress on the body.

I'm interested in the physiological foundations of anxious states — the vagal tone, gut-brain axis, and inflammation drivers — as much as the psychological ones.

Skin Conditions

Skin is often a window into what's happening internally. Eczema, psoriasis, adult acne, rosacea, and chronic urticaria all have naturopathic approaches that work alongside (or sometimes instead of) topical treatments — particularly through gut health optimisation, anti-inflammatory dietary changes, and specific botanical and nutritional protocols.

I don't treat skin as a purely external problem. The conversation usually starts with the gut, the liver, and the immune system.

Weight & Metabolic Health

I don't offer weight loss programmes in the conventional sense. What I offer is a careful investigation of the metabolic and hormonal factors that affect weight regulation — insulin sensitivity, thyroid function, cortisol patterns, gut microbiome composition, and the relationship between inflammation and fat storage — and a structured approach to improving metabolic health overall.

Weight is usually a symptom of something else. I find that addressing the underlying factors produces more sustainable results than caloric restriction alone.

Immune Health & Recurrent Infections

Frequent colds, slow recovery, persistent low-grade infections, and recurrent UTIs or thrush often reflect an immune system that's under-supported. Nutritional foundations — vitamin D, zinc, adequate protein, gut microbiome diversity — matter enormously here, as does addressing any underlying drivers of immune dysregulation like chronic stress or poor sleep.

I also work with people managing autoimmune conditions who are looking for naturopathic support alongside their conventional treatment.

A note on scope: Naturopathy is a complementary discipline. I don't diagnose medical conditions, prescribe pharmaceutical medications, or treat acute medical emergencies. I work best alongside conventional medicine — as an additional layer of care that addresses root causes, optimises function, and supports recovery. I'll always tell you when something is outside what I can help with.
